Here is the PROLOGUE

It was late summer, 1755 near Cobequid village in Acadia. 8 year-old Michel Doucet skipped to the barn. He liked hearing Millicent, the cow, chewing when he fed her. After chores, He loved hearing Papa play the fiddle.

Michel wanted to learn the violin, but Papa said he must learn more songs first. Now Michel sang:

À St. Malo beau port de mer repeat”
